Wojnar’s Boosts Production with KRONEN Drying System K650

Wojnar’s Wiener Leckerbissen GmbH, one of Austria’s leading deli food manufacturers, has enhanced its production with the new K650 drying system from KRONEN. As a long-time customer, Wojnar’s continues to rely on innovative technology to streamline processes and maintain premium quality. Each day, the company produces around 100,000 kilograms of deli items like spreads and salads, distributed to supermarkets across Austria and neighboring countries—including Billa, Spar, Edeka, and Metro.

Business Report 2024: KRONEN records constant growth and a new sales record

KRONEN GmbH has been achieving constant growth for many years. Despite challenging general conditions and a business environment with a number of economic difficulties, the family company was able to generate revenue of 21.0 million euros in the last business year, which represents revenue growth of 6% compared to the previous year. Last year KRONEN honored yet more long-standing employees and celebrated over 25 years of promoting and supporting in-house vocational training for young and upcoming talents.

Efficient apple processing: Kartause Ittingen relies on KRONEN technology

In November 2024, the Kartause Ittingen Foundation put its new modern AS 6 apple peeling and slicing machine from KRONEN into operation. Using the AS 6 makes it much easier for the team to peel, core and cut the apples grown in its orchards. Over the winter, it is therefore able to process 16,000 kg of apples to produce the popular apple rings sold in the "Klosterladen” monastery shop.

Modification and restructuring of production facilities

At the start of the new year, KRONEN successfully completed modification and restructuring measures at its production site in Kehl-Goldscheuer, Germany. These measures have helped to secure optimized production processes and easier assembly of large lines, thus creating the ideal conditions for the company’s targeted growth over the coming years.

Introducing a new cabbage cutting machine and washing solution

KRONEN recently presented its CAP 350 cabbage cutting machine and HEWA 4000 washing machine for fruit, vegetables and salad leaves to the public for the first time at the Fruit Logistica trade show. Visitors also made the most of the opportunity to experience the company's other new innovations and globally established stand-alone machines for processing fresh produce live and in person.

Two members of KRONEN’s Management Board, Rudolf Hans Zillgith and Stephan Zillgith, visited the facility in Sulzburg in person to hand over the company’s donation to the Head of the Children’s Village, Ulrike Ebbing.
