Efficient cabbage processing from the grid cutter to top performance

Flexible solutions to meet every demand: Cabbage is an important vegetable on a global scale – be it pickled, steamed or raw. KRONEN offers high-performance machine solutions for processing white cabbage, red cabbage, and savoy cabbage, all optimally tailored to meet the different requirements of the food industry in terms of capacity and equipment.

Depending on the type and size of each cabbage head – from a few hundred grams to several kilograms – flexibility plays an essential role in cabbage processing activities. KRONEN machines for coring, cutting, washing, and mixing feature a modular design and accessories that enable them to be adapted for all kinds of needs when processing different sizes and types of cabbage.

Flexible technology for different product sizes and applications

A variety of options are available for manual, semi-automatic, or automatic coring – from the compact manual HGW model to the PGW pneumatic grid cutter and the specialized KSB-2 cabbage corer, and right through to the Multicorer for processing capacities of up to 2,400 cabbage heads per hour. In the next step, the CAP 350 cabbage cutting machine achieves precise strip cutting with adjustable lengths. Alternatively, the well-established GS 10-2 or GS 20 belt cutting machines can also be used, depending on the desired throughput.

Mixing and washing for a ready-to-eat product

The cabbage is then further processed using washing machines from the HEWA series as well as the K120 oder K230 salad and delicatessen mixing machine, for example for combining cabbage with carrot or other vegetables.

These components can also be used to create efficient, hygienic, and scalable processing lines – individually adapted and integrated to achieve a continuous processing procedure.
