A vegetable processing line supplies 180 pizzerias in Saudi Arabia

Reliable continuous operation for more than six years

Since 2017, the company Daily Food Co. based in Riyadh has been using a KRONEN processing line to process a wide variety of vegetables used as pizza toppings in its pizzerias located throughout Saudi Arabia. Ever since it was first installed, the line has been in operation seven days a week, reliably providing top-quality results when processing ingredients. 

After being launched in 2013 as a local pizzeria, the brand MAESTRO Pizza developed into an impressive success story in no time at all, doubling its number of restaurants to a total of 180 pizzerias nationwide between 2014 and 2019. As a result, the company has become one of the fastest-growing food delivery services in Saudi Arabia.

By establishing a successful partnership with KRONEN, Daily Food Co. has been able to meet the growing demand for fresh ingredients processed to achieve high-quality results and to improve the efficiency of its production activities at the same time. The processing line comprises aGS 10-2 belt cutting machine, a GEWA 3800V PLUS washing machine with an insect discharge, a K-50-7 lettuce and vegetable spin-dryer, various conveyor belts and a FLEX M packaging machine from the KRONEN partner GKS. Daily Food Co. uses the line to process ingredients such as tomatoes, peppers and onions as pizza toppings with a capacity of up to 1,500 kg per day. It also uses KRONEN machines to process salads, beet/beetroot and yams/sweet potatoes.

After the line was moved to the new production facility in Riyadh in 2021, Jean-Marc Hammann, who has been responsible for the partnership with Daily Food Co. right from the start, was recently able to visit the facility in person and gained an insight into the company’s state-of-the-art production activities. “Due to the huge success of the MAESTRO Pizza brand, the processing line is in operation for 12 hours every day to supply the large number of pizzerias with the sliced vegetable products they need. Even after six years, the line is still in outstanding condition and proves just how much high-quality machines, regular maintenance, and professional operation can achieve,” emphasizes David Balcells Pujol, Head of Production at Daily Food Co.
