This year, KRONEN hosted the meeting of the managing directors of wvib member companies, which takes place twice a year.

On April 19 and 20, a team of KRONEN apprentices and employees visited the Berufsinfomesse (BIM) careers fair in the German city of Offenburg to tell interested visitors all they needed to know about vocational training and jobs at KRONEN.

Automation plays an important role in the food industry. It maximizes hygiene, which is a fundamental requirement in the industry and in terms of consumer safety and product shelf life. In cooperation with the food processing industry and the robotics supplier Stäubli, KRONEN has developed a unique solution for cutting, pitting and peeling avocados.

In the previous business year, KRONEN recorded revenue of EUR 19.8 million and thus remained stable at a consistently high level. The company was taken over by Rudolf Hans Zillgith 25 years ago and is now active and successful in 120 countries all over the globe.

The global market for meat substitutes is growing rapidly, and the demand for efficient and safe processing solutions for alternative sources of protein is increasing. For a customer based in the USA, KRONEN has now developed a customized line for processing sunflower seeds. 

KRONEN’s new Tona V cutting machine celebrated its world premiere at this year’s Fruit Logistica 2024 trade show in Berlin. This new processing solution cuts fruit and vegetables into wedges, slices and sticks. Visitors to the KRONEN booth were also interested in the live demonstration of the company’s Robot Avocado Line, which is unparalleled on a global level. This innovative solution halves, pits and peels avocados automatically to produce perfect results.
