Fruit Logistica 2024: a review

KRONEN’s new Tona V cutting machine celebrated its world premiere at this year’s Fruit Logistica 2024 trade show in Berlin. This new processing solution cuts fruit and vegetables into wedges, slices and sticks. Visitors to the KRONEN booth were also interested in the live demonstration of the company’s Robot Avocado Line, which is unparalleled on a global level. This innovative solution halves, pits and peels avocados automatically to produce perfect results.

At this year’s event, visitors from more than 40 different countries again came to the KRONEN booth to find out about the company’s new products and well-established solutions for food processing while enjoying live machine demonstrations. The robot solution that automatically processes avocados as gently as if they were processed by hand was a must-see for many visitors.

The Tona V, which was presented to the industry for the first time at the Fruit Logistica 2024, cuts fruit and vegetables into slices, segments or sticks in a continuous process. It can process products with a maximum diameter of 120 mm and a maximum length of 150 mm. The machine’s different cutting inserts can be changed quickly, and it is easy to clean, thus enabling efficient processing even when frequently alternating between different products. In the video, you can see how the solution processes various products such as tomatoes, potatoes and mushrooms.

KRONEN additionally showcased its special robotics solution for an automated avocado processing line, which was developed in-house and is the only one of its kind in the world. In fact, until the Fruit Logistica 2024, this innovation had never been seen before at an industry event. The line is used to peel, halve and pit avocados. Its gentle processing guarantees extremely high, consistent product quality, as you can see in the new video.

The KRONEN booth also featured a new product highlight in the world of tabletop devices. The MMC 150 manual melon chunk cutter enables users to cut fresh melon into bite-size chunks. Beforehand, the melon needs to be peeled, halved and deseeded. Our video shows how melons can be processed in a flash with the MMC 150.

In addition to these new developments, visitors to the KRONEN booth were also able to discover a multitude of well-established solutions from KRONEN and its partners – as always, live and in full product-processing operation. Find more information here.

We would like to thank everyone who visited the KRONEN booth!
